I believe in Transparency.

I believe that the best way to earn your trust, is to be transparent. I have been calling on my local government to be transparent for over a decade. I have routinely attended North Canton City Council meetings, and while I often agree with decisions that are made, I have also challenged them at times. I have been known to ask the important questions of my city's leaders. I have routinely requested public records to obtain the facts. I have shared this information with the community when I do.

I believe in Open Communication.

I believe that a community is strong when citizens are informed. I have been demonstrating this for many years by providing information to community members and co-administrating a North Canton community-centric Facebook page with over 1,400 members. Having all of the facts is important for making important decisions. Establishing open communication with City Administration and the Mayor will be essential to balancing a budget and making decisions that impact city services.

I believe that by asking for your vote, I should make myself available to you when you have concerns or questions. I pledge to keep the lines of communication open with my constituents. You'll see updates from me from time to time on social media. And you'll receive timely responses from me to phone calls and emails. And if I cannot answer your question, I will try to find someone who can.

I am Community-Driven.

I love our community! And I believe what makes our city so great, is many of the great programs that are offered by volunteer-run organizations. I have been finding ways to be involved in the community for decades with one consistent purpose in mind: serving the people who live here.

  • My volunteerism began early in life when I joined the levy campaign to build a brand new Hoover High School, as a senior in high school, in 1994.

  • I served in various roles in school PTOs, booster clubs, and ran a chess club for K-2 students for several years at Clearmount Elementary School.

  • In 2024, I championed city-wide efforts to retain our local Safety Dispatch services. When outsourcing was on the table, I helped circulate petitions and appeared before council multiple times, calling for them to retain North Canton's Safety Dispatch. I'm proud to say this effort was a success!

  • I co-led the North Canton Youth Football Association, providing boys and girls in grades 2-7 with football and cheerleading opportunities for 11 years.

  • I am a current member of the North Canton Little League Board of Directors, and have served for 9 seasons.

  • I have been on 3 levy campaigns for North Canton City Schools, with the goal of funding the new Primary, Intermediate and Middle Schools.

  • I have served on new building steering committees for North Canton City Schools, providing community and parent input on the design of the new Primary, Intermediate and Middle Schools.

  • I participated on the city's focus group with the primary goal of determining a funding mechanism for a new Fire and EMS station.

  • I served on the North Canton City Property Maintenance Review Board in 2024.

  • I am a member of the inaugural class of the North Canton City Civic Leadership Academy and will graduate from this six month course in October.

  • I support local businesses and economic development.

I've been serving the community for years.

I worked closely with Mayor Stephan Wilder to develop guidelines to safely carry out North Canton Little League and North Canton Youth Football seasons in the Covid era, ensuring our local youth had access to strong programs when their mental health and well being mattered most.

I pushed for a return of traditional North Canton July 4th festivities in the summer of 2021, turning around the initial decision made by city administration to cancel all events.

I have used public speaks opportunities during council meetings to address council members and city administration on topics of importance.
